why girls are treated as a object

"Girls"

Maybe you are thinking about the girls that make your life wonderful: a daughter, niece, or
sister.
I’m sure that for most couples you know, the birth of a baby (whether it’s a boy or a girl) ????
brings joy. But in India, that’s not the case for many families. Girls are unwanted and
discriminated against all their lives…simply because of their gender.

India has one of the fastest growing youth populations in the world. Girls below 19 years of
age comprise one-quarter of India's rapidly growing population.history tells us that, women
were ill-treated or neglected in various spheres of life across religions, regions, and
communities. Except for a few revolutionary movements, the situation remained more or less
the same in the ancient, medieval, and early modern times. Women are seen as nurturers
and the providers of emotional caretaking, while men are considered providers of economic
support.
Hormones released from the added fat cells could play a role in girls maturing faster. '

Again,
it may be a factor, but we don't know how much of it is related to being overweight or if this is
a definitive cause of earlier development in the general population,' says Palmert.
Abuse
57% of men in India believe it is justified for husbands to beat their wives, and 53% of
women also believe this abuse is justified.
Bride Burning
An estimated 22 women are victims of bride burning every day.
Child Marriage

India is home to 1 in every 3 child brides in the world.
Dowry
Families are expected to pay a dowry of expensive gifts of money when a daughter marries.
Female Infanticide (and sex-selective abortions)
In India’s capital city, Delhi, there are only 866 females for every 1,000 males.
Having an Older Sister
A woman who has one daughter already is more likely to kill any other daughters born to
her.
Illiteracy
Millions of girls are never sent to school because it is considered a waste of precious
resources.
ligious Prostitution
An estimated 50,000 devadasis (temple prostitutes) live in south India.
Sex Trafficking
India has an estimated 1.2 million child prostitutes.
“Unwanted” Girls

Many girls in India are seen as burdens; some are even named “Unwanted.”
Widows
India’s 40+ million widows are rejected and seen as cursed.
Kidnapping

Since many families choose to kill daughters, there are not enough brides for
men–especially in certain areas of India, so girls are stolen from other communities to be
brides.
Lack of Food

If a family is poor, a son is the first to be fed, and the “less valuable” girl is given leftover
scraps to eat.
Girls inherit their mother's domestic chores and adopt stereotypical gender roles. Low
self-esteem and self-worth are common. After marriage, her husband and in-laws control her
life. Consequently, the girls enter a state of silence.
India is a country of demographic diversity. There exist differences in the lifestyles of people
of different regions, communities, cultural backgrounds, urban-rural habitats, etc. Similarly
the psychological development of a child differs in various contexts. The male: female ratio
as per census 2011[3] is 933:1000, which is alarming. Given the biological norm of 100
newborn girls to every 103 newborn boys,
They are caught in the cycle of early marriage, repeated pregnancy, and poverty.
Industrialization, liberalization, and urbanization, and female foeticide have brought about
some obvious changes in stereotyped concepts of masculinity and femininity, affecting
household composition, residence patterns, specific kinship relationships, and male and
female attitudes and behavior. Family and society together can lead girls toward the positive
psychology of increasing optimism, strong social connections, and healthy self-confidence.
Girls are said that they are devi...but why girls are questioned for everything that happens, they are considered faulty ..before birth only parents are worried what will happen to them a girl child or a boy..
freedom for girls are still missing....
And rape why....why rape is increasing day by day,why not a strict rules,Not only a small age girls, women who are more then 50 are also getting rape.Is still women's clothing is a fault.change the mindset or else girls need to take their freedom in their hand...Devi namo.
